Highlights of Our Trip to Kenya and Tanzania

To Move Our Industry Forward

In the ever-evolving environment of the textile industry, staying always accurate and reliable requires more than providing quality products.

Building strong partnerships and developing relationships with other leaders in the industry are the most important steps to remain a leader in the industry. Recently, as Raff Military Textile, we embarked on an extraordinary journey in the heart of East Africa. First to Kenya’s capital Nairobi and then to Tanzania’s largest city Dar es Salaam.

Kenya: Land of Opportunities

Our journey started with a business forum in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, attended by enthusiastic new entrepreneurs and industry experts. Organized with the contributions of the Türkiye Exporters Association (TİM) and the Turkish Ministry of Trade, we took part in the event to represent our country and showcase the latest developments in our industry. At our brand’s booth, we had productive business meetings to connect with similar professionals who share our passion for innovation in our industry, as well as to explore potential partners in supply chain management.

Tanzania: Opening New Horizons

Right after Nairobi, we travelled to Dar es Salaam, known as the largest city in Tanzania. As a result of our long-standing business relations with Kenya, the interest our brand received in that region was quite high. The situation in Tanzania was also no different and the time we spent here was enough to further publicize Raff Military Textile, popularize it and establish partnerships. We tried to reflect the sustainability and ethical production practices of our time as much as we could to the local businesses of Tanzania. We can say that these shared values created a strong foundation for building promising collaborations.

Conclusion

Our travel route to strengthen our business relationships in Africa, which was launched in early 2023, culminated with incredible experiences, networks and collaborations in Kenya and Tanzania. The ties we have established with our industry and our customers were once again confirmed. Being intertwined with the rich cultures of Kenya and Tanzania, experiencing the local cuisine first-hand, and witnessing traditional music and dance shows were the most enjoyable aspects of our business trips. These cultural exchanges not only enriched our general culture of the regions but also enabled us to establish more personal and intimate bonds with our customers.

In the coming months, we will continue to nurture our partnerships in East Africa as we work diligently on innovative military and police textile solutions and visit different countries. Stay tuned for our collaborative projects, new communities we are engaging with and targeted updates.
